Wimbledon with Polo Ralph Lauren

This is a paid for advertorial.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending Wimbledon as a guest of Polo Ralph Lauren, the official outfitters for the tournament. Although I don’t usually keep up with the tennis throughout the year, whenever Wimbledon comes around I become fully immersed in the games, probably much like most of the British population!

First up, I’ll discuss the outfit. Naturally, I decided to wear Polo Ralph Lauren. The brand has undergone a reboot over the last few months, so you may be quite surprised by the variety of the beautiful new collection; think silk dresses, floral prints, and polka dots. I pulled together three looks to choose from for spending the day at Wimbledon.

The first, a casual striped knitted dress with a red handbag for that classic Parisian-chic style. Probably the most practical choice judging by the typical British weather, it was a comfortable yet sophisticated look.

I decided this was slightly too casual, so put together a second outfit, this time choosing something more glam and elegant. The fuchsia A-line dress is a silky number that hangs loosely but flatteringly, with delicate spaghetti straps around the shoulders, worn with black heeled sandals. To balance out the smartness of the dress and shoes I flung over a casual trench coat, making the look more suitable to day time.

Although I loved the look with the trench coat, it was still more suited to an evening dinner so I decided to pull together a different outfit. This time I wanted to go for something that could be worn during the day and effortlessly taken through to the evening, which is exactly what I found – a floaty, floral dress with thin straps crossing over the back, kept casual by pairing it with a tan shoulder bag and thick heeled sandals. Putting together these outfits has got me feeling really excited for the new Polo Ralph Lauren store that’s opening on Regent Street later this year, Europe’s first flagship.

As expected, we had weather of all the seasons but I still felt very comfortable in my dress, and luckily not too cold! After an early lunch, we spent the day watching three matches; Murray vs Kyrgios, Federer vs Johnson, Williams vs Kuznetsova, all of which were brilliant games. After the matches, we returned to our Polo Ralph Lauren hub and chatted over cups of tea and glasses of champagne taking us through to the evening.

I had such a wonderful day and I must thank Polo Ralph Lauren for taking me as their guest and for sponsoring this content.
