Granger & Co | This Weeks Eats

Eating breakfast is my favourite meal to eat out. I think it’s probably because it’s more unusual for me to go out for breakfast – I would usually be at home with my homemade granola or muesli!

But yesterday Marcus and  I decided to have a fun day out starting with breakfast at Granger & Co in Notting Hill, a place we’d both heard was great for breakfast. Judging by the queue to get in we weren’t the only ones that had heard this.

To make a real meal of it, we ordered starters and mains. Starters and mains for breakfast?! We were hungry and everything on the menu sounded good so we couldn’t help it.

I chose the Chia Seed Pot with almond milk, coconut yogurt and berries with a Bill’s Green Juice. Marcus ordered a bowl of berries and watermelon with coconut yogurt on the side and an iced coffee.

If you have no idea what a chia seed pudding looks like, it resembles something a little like frogspawn. Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste anything like it!

Shortly after finishing our fruit the main breakfast arrived. Marcus chose the Full Aussie breakfast with pretty much everything you would want in a full english. I must say, it did look amazing!

I chose toasted rye bread and avocado with coriander and lime. The rye bread was thickly cut and toasted perfectly. Although a simple dish, it makes such a difference having fresh, good quality ingredients.

After breakfast we had a wonder around Notting Hill, stopping off to look around the markets on Portobello Road too.

We found our absolute favourite drink, Kombucha, in a local organic store. We discovered Kombucha in LA a few months ago and have never been able to find it over here. To enjoy them we headed over to Holland Park and sat on a bench sipping away in the sun and feeding the peacocks.

It truly was one of the best days I’ve had. Everything was just perfect.
